Taekwondo Programs
We have programs specifically designed for kids, teens and
adult in the areas of Taekwondo and fitness. Our classes fit
students of all shapes and sizes and physical abilities. We offer
classes that allow a student to come once a week or as many times
a month as they want. We conduct in school tournaments at least once a year
and attend several other tournaments here in Maine and some in
other states.
Family fitness is our goal-
When you or your child become a member, your spouse or the
parents of the member can use the facility for free. They will
have access to any of our fitness classes, cardio equipment, or
tanning. Many times you will
be able to find a fitness class offered on our second training
floor at the same time as your child or spouse's Taekwondo class
is happening.
This allows parents and other family members to workout while
Taekwondo classes are in session. Use the links to the left to find out

Taekwondo
Ages 5 to 7
Taekwondo for our young kids targets balance, controlling their
bodies, and focus of attention. They will learn modified Moo Duk
Kwan forms and
basics that all age groups learn. Their classes include games,
mentoring, life skills, and lots of high energy. All classes for
this age group are 30 minutes long. While your kids are in class
you have the chance to take advantage of our other fitness classes
which run simultaneously, cardio-equipment, or

Taekwondo
Ages 8 to 12
Taekwondo for this age group will work on coordination,
balance, physical conditioning, as well as focus of attention and
energy. We also include various games, mentoring and life skills.
This group will start to learn more about the traditions and
history of martial arts. Moves in the forms are broken down in
more detail and students begin to understand the meaning behind
the moves. All classes for this age group are 60 minutes long.
While your kids are in class you have the chance to take advantage
of our other fitness classes which run simultaneously, cardio-equipment,

Taekwondo
Teens & Adults
Taekwondo for teens and adults is an in depth study of Moo Duk
Kwan Taekwondo. Students work on physical conditioning, forms,
advanced concepts, and realistic self-defense techniques are
practiced. The class is designed to be a
fun, fast paced, martial arts work out. You will gain an more
comprehensive knowledge of each technique and move. We focus on
flexibility in this class to try to ward off the hands of time
that stiffen us up as we get older. We will work on sparring
techniques and learn how to focus power for board breaking with
hand and foot movements. All classes for this age group are 60

Fitness Programs
Our fitness classes run on a three month rotation (track) and
we offer two different fitness classes per track. We mix up the
course offerings from track to track. If we do not have the
fitness class you want running right now, we may have it later.
Please call for the current track offerings. Included in your
fitness fee is the ability to go to as many classes as you want
for one or both classes. You can always join a class at any time.
All classes are designed for differentiated instruction of both
novice and experienced fitness students.
Cardio-Kickboxing
Our Cardio-Kickboxing classes have a dual focus, core strengthening
and high energy Cardio-kickboxing. This class is a 60 minute class
where you will spend half the class on the floor doing a core body
workout and the other half on your feet kicking and punching. This
is a high energy, fun, fast paced class guaranteed to get your
blood pumping and your heart rate up. Instruction will be given to
accommodate beginners and experienced kickers. Dress in loose
fitting workout clothes. Cardio-Kickboxing classes are held
Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
Power Yoga
Our Power yoga class will hold something for everyone from
beginner to experienced students. The format is a class consisting
of various standing, balancing and isometric poses with focus on
strength and flexibility. Power Yoga has the aspects of a classic
yoga stretching class with the added benefit of muscle building
routines. This class will also focus your energy and attention on
the "breath" helping you relax, become calm, and feel
great when you are finished. Power Yoga is offered on
Wednesday 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Pilates
We are not offering this class during this fitness track.
