About Us
Pine Tree Karate & Fitness, located at the Hannford Plaza
in Brewer Maine, is a martial arts school that teaches Moo Duk
Kwan Style Taekwondo. We work under the martial arts guidance
of Master Mike Clark of South Carolina. Master Clark has over 35
years experience teaching Moo Duk Kwan. Taekwondo originated in Korea and
quickly became the most predominate martial arts style. Taekwondo is
the single largest studied martial arts in the world with over 50
million practitioners.
We want to help the entire family live a happier and healthier
life style. Pine Tree Karate & Fitness is a bit different than
other martial arts schools. We have designed a system that will
allow family members that usually sit by and watch to actually get
moving. When you or your child become a member, your spouse or
the parents of the member can use the facility for free. They
will have access to any of our fitness classes, cardio equipment,
or tanning. Many times you will
be able to find a fitness class offered on our second training
floor at the same time as your child or spouse's Taekwondo class
is happening.
This allows parents and other family members to workout while
Taekwondo classes are in session. We have combined the world of Taekwondo with
family fitness. It is our
desire to offer our members and students a complete martial arts
experience. Of course if you would like to sit back in a
comfortable chair and watch your family member's Taekwondo class,
that is perfectly fine.
Our
School
  
Pine Tree Karate & Fitness has a 4,000 square foot workout
studio. We have 2 workout floors, Cardio equipment (treadmill,
elliptical, exercise bike), some free weights and a universal gym.
We have stretching equipment for those wishing to gain more
flexibility. We also offer our members a tanning bed. We have a
retail area that we stock with some common karate gear. We are a
Century Martial Arts retailer and always sell below retail on
all Karate equipment. You will find our studio clean, bright, and
friendly.
